Steve's career has been as varied as it has been passionate, spanning from 30+ years of managing personal and institutional financial advisory programs to owning a professional ultimate frisbee team in Chicago and serving as the Commissioner of the

league in the U.S. and Canada.

His life took a poignant turn when he returned to Michigan to care for hs mother with dementia, experiencing the profound challenges of long-term care - not the least of which was the financial devastation many experience EVEN WHEN THEY THOUGHT TO HAVE ADDRESSED THE ISSUE WITH TRADITIONAL LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE.  Steve quickly realized there was a much better way and wanted to find a way to help people across the country address this issue that can ravish a lifetime of saving, if not prepared. 

This led to the founding of TruPLAN™, a financial software package built to provide financial professionals across the country with a solid tool that provides sound and detailed retirement analysis, while also providing a unique module that provides advisors with a simple and effective tool to position various asset-based long-term care applications. Best of all, in an effort to provide as many people as possible with effective guidance, TruPLAN™ is being made available at a price-point that allows more advisors to afford it, and by extension, reach as many people as possible with effective retirement planning

that also addresses long-term care. 

Away from the office, Steve enjoys helping others through philanthropic endeavers.  Over the years, he has served as a Big Brother in the Big Brother Big Sister program in Chicago, served on the board of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Detroit, has sponsored multiple children in Venezuela over the last 20+ years through Children International, and mentored second graders reading in his hometown of Warren, MI.
